Is traveling to Chicago on your bucket? Want to know where is the best place to stay in Chicago to have an amazing time?
The city that is a sleepless beast, with a lively rhythm, an energetic heartbeat, and unwavering spirit is no other than America’s favorite neighborhood, Chicago! Have you ever biked along the lakefront route? Or kayak down the Chicago River? Or even taken a road trip on the stunning mile or delighted in America’s activity at Wrigley Field? If you have, then you would have understood the beauty of the stunning city! If you haven’t, then here’s your chance!
The best location to stay in Chicago for new visitors is The Loop, better known as the Chicago Loop or Chicago Downtown. This is the heart of the city, where all the magic happens!
Below it you’ll find some of the tallest, most splendid structures around the city, as well as lots of awesome museums such as the Art Institute of Chicago, which hosts one of the best galleries in the entire country! While you’re around the area, don’t miss out on the Millenium Park or the photo ops by the Cloud Gate better known as THE BEAN, the popular glossy statue by Anish Kapoor.
2. Lincoln Park
Lincoln Park is my suggestion for people who are traveling to Chicago on a budget as well as for those visiting the city with their family members and also youngsters as well!
Some of the attractions in the area that you CANT miss; Lincoln Park Zoo, Lincoln Park Conservatory, St. Michael’s Church and Chicago History Museum. Besides checking those hotspots out, taking a stroll on the beautiful streets and exploring hole in the wall places is great fun too!
3. River North
If you enjoy art galleries, then River North is the place for you!
Why am I saying this? Its because this area boasts the largest variety of art galleries in the whole United States (after New York City, of course). It’s also an excellent location if you’re interested in a vibrant nightlife and also clubs where you can party up until the morning– you’ll find lots of them in River North!
Among the best parts of this area is that it’s incredibly near to the Magnificent Mile ( the nickname for Michigan Avenue), the major shopping hub of the city.
4. Gold Coast.
Looking for one of the most premium, extravagant places in the whole of Chicago? I present to you the Gold Coast, probably one of the most exclusive areas in the city, right by the water!
Here, you’ll find upscale resorts, high-rise buildings, store stores and plenty of world-class dining establishments that offer incredible recipes! During your stay here, check out Oak Street for some shopping or on Rush Street for some clubbing. Another great reason to stay here is that its a bit calmer than Chicago Loop.
5. Wicker Park
In case you want to stay in one of the coolest areas in the city, look towards the Wicker Park area!
Wicker Park is my recommendation for young people looking to have some enjoyable and exciting experiences, whether its by exploring coffee shops or turning up at clubs. You’ll also find many excellent dining options here, in addition to great street food!
6. West Loop.
Are you a foodie interested in trying all the very best dishes that Chicago has to offer,LIKE the world-famous deep-dish pizza? Yeah? Then you’ll like the West Loop!
West Loop, better known as Near West Side is the best area to remain in Chicago if you’re a foodie, specifically if you stay in Greektown and Little Italy, both exemplary food streets all around! This location was a crucial port beginning with the 1800s and it has then extended into a place loaded with fantastic restaurants and bars (including Michelin-starred restaurants!), museums and also art galleries.
One more great feature of the West Loop is that you’ll be close to Chicago Loop, aka the city centre!
The Chicago Loop is the best area to stay because it is accessible to every tourist attraction if you are going to Chicago for the very first time! Lincoln Park is the ideal area with lots of destinations if you are on a budget plan with your family members and also close friends. Make sure you don’t miss out on the river north and Wicker Park if you want to experience the nightlife with your friends.
